Relaxation-Based Video Games: More Popular Than Ever

BY JAMIE FELTHAM (vrfocus.com) – Relaxation-based video games may not be an entirely new concept, but the arrival of consumer virtual reality (VR) technology is set make them more popular than ever. And, while there are already examples of these types of experiences on PC, this is a genre that’s still relatively foreign to consoles. That isn’t stopping Cubicle Ninjas, the developer behind anticipated VR relaxation title, Guided Meditation, from pushing for a PlayStation 4 version of its title with support for the Project Morpheus head-mounted display (HMD).
Studio CEO Josh Farkas confirmed to VRFocus that the developer was talking with Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) about a port in an interview that will be published in full tomorrow. “We’re actually in talks with Sony right now,” Farkas said, “and I think it just depends on timing and options. But, yeah, we love the Morpheus too.
