Are You An Extraordinary Person?
by Nigel Taylor
“Are you an extraordinary person”? To be engaged in Personal Development of any nature implies a search for something within us that is not quite yet known. Perhaps we look around and see others displaying qualities we deeply wish we had also. Qualities such as clear vision, healing faculties, manifesting capabilities and even deep and abiding wisdom.
However, it pays us to remember that all of these qualities are literally outward expressions of something we have unlocked from within ourselves. The key is the process of unlocking – not the actual manifestation of the desired quality.
Confidence is a byproduct of the act of “confiding within”.
Knowing who and what you are enables such confidence. We must have confidence in ourselves to unlock what we seek to find.
“And what about healing?” you might ask. Well, to heal another, one must first and foremost heal oneself. This, again, comes from knowing who and what you are. “And abundance?” It’s the same. When we are rich beyond measure in our hearts and souls, that inner abundance outwardly manifests the same.
So then, let me ask you a question. Given that you have explored probably infinite teachings from seemingly infinite people (myself included), offering you the keys to success, what exactly have you achieved in the field of personal development? This is a personal question, and one that only you can answer.
Do you ever find that you learned something very beneficial, but then you ignore the quality you have realized within yourself when the going gets tough? Or, maybe, half way through a path of discovery you have given up, deeming it too complex or too demanding?
Many are the reasons for such outcomes. But it is, above all, important that you not let your previous results act as a barrier to stop you from exploring deeply who you are – Here and Now. For this would prevent you from being the True Leader that you are destined to become.
You see, a True Leader is one who helps shape the direction of the Dream by first tidying up her, or his, own inner world. Many are the ways to do this: Meditation, Prayer, Simplicity of life, Fasting, and so forth – all contribute to the awakening of the mind.
The following statement from an ancient master gives us great insight.
Tzu-keng said, “May I ask about extraordinary people?”
Confucius replied,”Extraordinary people are different from other people; they are on par with Nature. Therefore, it is said that a small person to Nature is a leader of men, and a leader of men is a small person to Nature.”
Recognizing the inner wealth of your own true Self puts you in touch with your nature. Your nature is always in touch with Nature. As a result, you elevate your whole being into the field of Extraordinary.
Enjoy the experience!
Consider the benefits that come from touching this extraordinary inner knowing on a daily basis. To do so, I recommend you spend time to create for yourself an “Avatar” of your perfect being. Remember, an Avatar is a projection, a possibility of all that can be. When understood from the perspective of Spirit, an Avatar is an embodiment of Source.
When you align with such a principle (however you perceive it), the extraordinary qualities of your being are unlocked. Whatever you truly desire to bring forth in your life is contingent upon your Avatar being congruent with your whole being. An Avatar of poverty will bring poverty. One of great joy, love, life and happiness, will bring the same. Walk in the Footsteps of the Divine and bring forth the wealth of your own heart.
