Imagine circling the globe—from West Coast to East Coast—on an adventure competition involving highly participatory and culturally-oriented on-site scavenges on six continents? Event Director William Chalmers notes he would have added “Antarctica too, but there just aren’t many good restaurants there. Also asking penguins for directions is problematic.” Now in its second decade, The Global Scavenger Hunt sets off on April 15, 2016 for 23 days. Travelers will only ever know their next destination four hours before departure, not be allowed guidebooks or smart phones, and can only use public transportation when on the ground.
